Sludge is a substantial waste product of many different municipal, agricultural, mining and agro-processing processes. The first step for this waste product to enter into a circular economy loop is the dewatering of the viscous mixture, separating the mixture into solids and liquid. Sinowatek presents the Fournier Rotary PressTM dewatering technology from Fournier Industries in Canada as the most advanced technology available.
After separation of a waste stream into solids and liquid, the solid fraction, still in viscous form, can then be valorized by drying it to a powder with the progressive pulse combustion drying (PCD) technology.
The liquid (residual wastewater) is disinfected using the powerful INNOWATECH Anolyte® tradename Sulafect to replenish natural water resources. Released water can be returned to nature, be reused as process water or further treated for drinking water.
